Plot Summary

When Derek, the Incubus King, uses Sonya to forge an alliance with an ancient race of dragons, she's determined to make sure things don't go as planned. Derek has built an alliance with a hoard of Chen Lung Dragons that nest in Shanghai. To humans, they see a tattooed band of muscled killers. To Sonya, she glimpses what they truly are by the shadows of scales and hint of slitted eyes. Derek's alliance is built on the faith that Sonya will be awarded as consort to their leader. When she meets his younger brother, Jet, she takes the opportunity to shake a delicate alliance and tear the dragons apart from the inside. Jet is no regular Chen Lung Dragon. He holds a dark secret, and when Sonya seduces him to her side, she'll learn that she's playing with fire, and she's going to get burned.
