Filling The Incubus by N W

A review today of a very short incubus work. Incubi exist in the dream world, they are shaped by it to be what they become for the souls they encounter.

But that leaves some room for interpretation and changes which can be unexpected as well. Then the question of what desire means brings something that cannot be ignored.

The work tells of:

An incubus gets more than he bargained for when he finds a lucid dreamer.

Sebastian has visited many souls in their dreams as an incubus. But there are those called lucid dreamers and tonight he will encounter Harold who will turn Sebastian’s world upside down.

The work is an extremely short m/m focused hot flash which doesn’t spend a lot of time in developing the story or characters more than what’s needed to get to the erotica. It’s a bit odd, the fetish is certainly unexpected, and overall it’s a rather unique fetish which is described.

But the story just doesn’t develop very far beyond the encounter and the fetish that’s explored. I’d have liked more time spent in telling the story, it’s very rushed and doesn’t really give any time for the story to breathe or tell more about the characters.

Two and a half out of five pitchforks.

It’s far too short a story, which is a shame. Perhaps the author will revisit this work and add to it. There’s something interesting here, but regrettably this is a pamphlet in length and that takes away too much.
