Succubi Image of the Week 292

Something very different this week as the Succubi of the Week. It’s not often that Morrigan Aensland is seen as being more dark in form. I found a piece of art that does, I think, reveal something of a side of her that isn’t seen often…

This work is titled Morrigan and is by an artist on DeviantArt named BaderBadruddin. You can find the original page with this work here and this artist’s page on DeviantArt here.

While this is a darker, more moody creation of Morrigan, the thing of it is that there are hints of her darker side here and there I think fairly often. It’s not a bad thing, quite the contrary and it gives her personality something more than it would have otherwise.

Drawing out that part of her and yet still have who she is, how she presents herself be core to her I think is a very difficult thing to do without straying off into directions that harm her as a whole.

In this work there is the danger within her brought to the fore and while that is there, and is a warning, her other aspects still draw you towards her…

Lovely, passionate, and a side of Morrigan not seen often.

Please do visit the artist’s pages and see more of their art…

Darkness and light are part of each of us, and, in Morrigan, as in so many of us, those bits of darkness make the light shine so much brighter. Morrigan, like so many of us, surely aspires to the brightness of the Succubi Queen.

Is it just me or does it kind of look like she has a black eye? I agree that it’s a very lovely piece, but I couldn’t help noticing the shading there. Maybe this is supposed to be a picture of Morrigan after a fight?

There is darkness to be found, but not without the light being there as well…
