It’s red, it is a costume, but not quite Succubus enough as one…

Now some costumes for Succubi and Devil Girls have red in, or on them… That only makes sense of course… But why is it that there are so many fewer costumes that don’t have a tail as well?

It actually bothers me a lot really…

Darling Demon CostumeNow there has been a Darling Demon Costume on the Tale in the past… But that one was really very bad and as I remember it, received a quarter pitchfork rating…

So, let’s call this one a reincarnation of that costume and give it a chance?

This is called, as I said, the Darling Demon Costume. It comes with the sequin flame detail halter dress and the devil horn headband.

And that’s all.

The pitchfork and shoes are not included and the costume sells for about $75 US…

It’s not honestly that bad I think…

Now the pitchfork is bad, but it’s not included so that’s a good thing… The shoes aren’t either, but they really do work well with this costume I think at least..

The horns aren’t too large or silly, another good thing, and I have to say that I like the dress quite a lot as well…

No tail however, bit of a disappointment there…

While the front of the dress is sequinned, the back of it isn’t. It is red fabric, but it makes the dress seem cheap which is a shame really… I think that having the entire dress being sequinned would have really made this something special…

And the model makes the entire look work well, especially her look and the matching lipstick was a nice touch too… it’s nice to see when some thought is given to presentation instead of throwing things together…

I’ll give this costume four pitchforks out of five.

Cute, sexy, can really wear it anywhere and it can be a lot of fun.

But fix the back of the dress and give it a tail for a five….

I would have said 3 out of 5 pitchforks, as those are two major deficiencies. The missing sequins in the back seem especially disappointing.

My guess is that tails are absent because they are difficult, maybe expensive, to do well, and, clearly (from folks who don’t sequin the back of the dress), the designers don’t expect people to look back there.

    But… but… that’s where the tail is!!!
