YouTubes from The Valley of the Succubus

I discovered a film that is in production this week on YouTube. The movie is called The Valley of the Succubus and is a production of Nocturnal Customs based in New Zealand.

According to what limited information there is on this film, the plot is described as:

Jim works at a small local theatre when a strange acting troupe travels into town. After their show begins actresses begin disappearing. Jim discovers that the troupe is over 500 years old and have been sacrificing young virgins to their hermaphrodite god to stay eternally youthful. To his horror they have taken the girl of his heart for their next sacrifice. Will he save her soul from their Satanic evil?

Now the images available from the film company’s site don’t really show us any Succubi to speak of, though they do show various actresses in several different outfits, some of them obviously evil in nature.

They also released a couple of YouTube videos as well:

First a rough trailer:

If you can’t see it above, click here:

And a sort of blooper reel of scenes from the film:

In case the embedding doesn’t work:

And one more blooper reel…

And again, if no embedding then…

I’d love to know a bit more about this film than what is available on it. The official site of the film company gives very little information on it that I can find save that it will be released in 2011 sometime. There is also a page with a couple of images from the production here as well.

Do have a look, I know that I will be watching for it, and I hope to be able to get a copy somehow in the future for our collection of Succubus films…

Okay . . . we have some green goonie things in the publicity photos, and we have signs of lots of blood and gore in the short trailer. None of it very succubish. Add to that the fact that they have 45 seconds a trailer to attract people to their movie and over 10 minutes of stuff making fun of the movie, and I am less than encouraged.

I know that Your Majesty will want to hold out hope, and, therefore, so will I. But I hope she will forgive me for stocking up on throwing popcorn in the Realm . . .
