Succubi in the Mabinogi online role-playing game by Nexon are a type of Boss character that is encountered in the game by players. Succubi appear in 1-person Rabbie dungeons. They confuse players with sweet, pleasant poetry and a wide range of skills. There are many different types of Succubi: Black Succubus, Red Succubus, Black Succubus (Advanced), Red Succubus (Advanced), Yellow Succubus, Pink Succubus and White Succubus.

—Red Succubus

Succubi are female humanoid demons aligned with the fomors. They use their assets at hand to seduce and trick humans into dropping their guard. They are one of the few monsters that can speak. What they say is based on their aggro state and type of succubus. Succubi also have facial reactions based on their speech while tends to hide the skills she loads.

Succubi have randomly generated facial and hair features. The features of the Succubi are randomly generated, leading to different appearances when encountering them. Succubi only spawn when there are a certain amount of players in Rabbie Dungeon. This varies by the pass used to enter the dungeon.

If a player is in normal mode when confronting a succubus, she will notice the player, talk, and walk around them. After a while she will use a Normal Attack. This process repeats itself. If a player is in combat mode, she will aggressively aggro instead.

Succubi drop aggro rather quickly compared to other monsters. All succubi visibly lose pieces of clothing when attacked. This depends on the type of succubus and the skill used against them.

Advanced succubi will attempt to use any of their skills to force the player into combat mode, including Windmill.

Defeating a succubus grants "the Succubus Slayer" title. Taming a succubus via Taming Wild Animals, Control of Darkness, Magical Music, or Enthralling Performance grants the "who Seduced a Succubus" title.


Succubus Battle Tactics

Whether the succubus is red or black, the technique is the same. These attacks also work with incubi as well.

Icebolt-Counter

  • Start with Smash-Icebolt. or two Icebolts. (Shoot at maximum range.)
  • If using 2 Icebolts, activate counter after the 2nd icebolt.
  • If starting with Smash, run back a little bit before using Icebolt.
  • Icebolt after Counterattack. Activate Counterattack again immediately.
  • Charge Icebolt, run back a little bit, and Icebolt-Counterattack repeatedly.

Pure Firebolt

  • Constantly load/execute Firebolt.
  • You can firebolt it continuously without the need to have a high rank firebolt, they do activate mana reflector HOWEVER it does knock them back which gives you ample time even at Rank F to charge and execute firebolt.
  • Then, run back a little more and release Firebolt, and repeat. This is to prevent Succubus getting closer to you.

Pure Smash

  • Requires at least Rank F Smash
  • Smash Succubus.
  • As soon as Succubus starts charging magic or Defense, Smash her and repeat.

Hit and Run

  • Requires at least Rank F Firebolt or Rank F Smash or Rank F Magnum Shot
  • Charge Firebolt or Smash or Magnum Shot and hit Succubus. Proceed to run quickly back.
  • Once Succubus de-aggroes, repeat.
  • It must return to the vicinity of its original position before it will de-aggro, if it is attacked while it's walking back it will counter with a Normal Attack.

Fire-Ice Counter

  • Requires at least Rank F Firebolt, Icebolt and Counterattack
  • Charge Firebolt and launch it at Succubus.
  • Immediately charge Icebolt and launch it. The Succubus should ping blue and charge towards the player.
  • Quickly activate Counterattack and let the Succubus run into it. Repeat.
  • Note: Icebolt can be replaced with Lightning Bolt if preferred.

Fire-Lightning-Windmill Loop

  • Can be done with all skills with Rank F.
  • Start with Firebolt.
  • Cast Lightning Bolt.
  • Try to mix in Windmill or do it Lightning Bolt-Firebolt.
  • If Succubus/Incubus tries to cast magic, Run or summon a pet to interrupt it.
  • Note: LigheningBolt cannot be replaced by IceBolt
