The following is a Succubus character build for the Guildwars Role Playing game by Arredondo of the Guildwars.incgamers.com website.

Character Description

A succubus is an evil little she-demon who sucks the life out of anyone who is brave enough to get close to her. That about sums up what I do with my Rit in this build:

Original Build Statistics

The Succubus (Rit/Nec)

  • Restoration: 16
  • Curses: 12
  • Spawning: 4
  • Insidious Parasite: Each hit inflicted by Hexed foe steals 17 HP for 18s
  • Vengeful Weapon: 63 HP steal if ally is hit under this 8s spell
  • Vengeful was Khanhei: Steal 37 HP if you are struck for 11s
  • Enfeebling Touch: Touch a foe to cause 17s of Weakness and do -41 damage
  • Plague Touch: Transfer one Condition from you to touched foe
  • Resilient Weapon: +6 regen and +24 AL if ally has a Hex/Condition
  • Wielder's Boon: 63 HP and another 63 HP if ally is holding a Weapon spell (+126)
  • Flesh of my Flesh: I carry Curse weapon and focus for +30 extra health and faster recharge (a +15/-1E pip set and a normal set). I wear full Harbringers armor for +35 more HP (I have 520 max HP).


Original Build Notes

Almost everything in the offense is designed for pure Warrior/Assassin/Ranger hate. Find the one you want to take down, or wait for one to approach you. As they move in, put Insidious Parasite on him, then Vengeful Weapon on yourself... that's -80 HP right there if he swings once. If he tries to attack through it to do his combo (i.e. determined Assassins), put up VwK and with all three skills up, a single attack towards you will do 117 life steal damage to your foe. If he keeps swinging when the next VW comes up 3s later, over half his life is easily gone.

I find it best to wait until I'm hurting to use VwK to not scare them away, lol. If they think they are hurting you, they will likely try to get the kill before they leave and go heal.

You add another 41 damage with each Enfeebling Touch cast, and the target suffers from Weakness as a bonus which causes his attacks to be nerfed. Perhaps he was able to tag you with Cripple, Poison, Bleeding, and/or Deep Wound? Plague Touch puts it all back on him (one cast at a time). Soon your melee/arrow opponents will know that you are the most toxic enemy on the playfield to get close to. That forces them to gang up on your teammates... no problem.

The enemy's IP hex follows him everywhere. Just keep putting it on him as it recharges, as well as keeping him Weak from ET. When he chooses a buddy of yours to hit besides you, give that teammate a steady diet of Vengeful Weapon casts and the -80 life steal every three seconds or so still kicks in. He will get frustrated and stop attacking if he has no Hex/Condition support (for IP and ET), or he will die swinging.

If Conditions are stacking up for a teammate, give him Resilient Weapon+Wielder's Boon. Obviously FomF is for rezzing downed teammates. Have RW on you before you do so you can quickly cast WB for max HP recovery.

If you are facing a team of casters, just focus on Healing your team (VW counters all damage, not just physical). You can also send IP to any wand spammers.

Playing the Succubus is a lot of fun that gets the wins, and even on awful teams I'm almost always the last to die. Variants, if you wish, are to switch in Malaise for Enfeebling Touch. It's a cheap way to really annoy a caster to be more versatile. It's a nice cover for IP also. You can also consider going into three skill lines (15,10,10) to get the Vampiric Minion skill from the Death attribute. All of its attacks steal HP for you, keeping with the theme of the build.   • Vengeful was Khanhei: Steal 37 HP each time you are struck for 11s
  • Enfeebling Touch: Touch a foe to cause 17s of Weakness and do -41 damage
  • Plague Touch: Transfer one Condition from you to touched foe
  • Resilient Weapon: +6 regen and +24 AL for 21s if ally has a Hex/Condition
  • Wielder's Boon: 63 HP and another 79 HP if ally is under a weapon spell (+142)
  • Flesh of my Flesh: Lose 50% HP, rez ally with your current HP


Revised Build Notes

One single hit against you with all three up is a 145 health steal. Every hit after that is a 82 life steal until you recast VW 3s later for another 145 life steal. If you tag him with ET while he's on you, the Weakness effect will minimize any damage that gets through.

This build will destroy the Moebius Strike Assassins running around these days. How can they use their elite if they can't get you <50% HP?
