I’m really going to try not to make any more Monty Python jokes I promise… As hard as that is going to be. I’ve never wondered what it might look like if you crossed a Succubus with a pile of feathers before, and that’s probably for the best…
But someone did.
The one thing that I can’t quite figure out is the name of this costume. It’s called the X Devil Costume, and that bring up some odd questions…
Is she supposed to be an ex-Devil? Is she trying to reform herself? Or, and I think this is the most likely, someone couldn’t figure out a good name for it, made a scribble on a page and then walked away from the entire thing.
This costume comes with a halter style sequin mesh mini dress with feather boa trim neckline and hemline, a headband with sequin devil ears and a matching sequin devil pitchfork.
And it sells for $100 US, shoes of course not included, and there isn’t a tail either.
I don’t care for this very much, if at all to be honest. There are much better ideas and designs out there that cost about as much as this does, look better, and have a tail!
The horns aren’t thrilling, the pitchfork is silly, the feathers have nothing to do with a Succubus or Devil Girl theme at all. In fact, remove the horns and the pitchfork and you have a stripper’s outfit more or less and perhaps that’s the point here.
It’s another example of the reuse of a costume in order to sell it.
I’m just not at all thrilled by this and I wouldn’t think of wearing it to a Halloween party…
Lots of zeros this year and once again, this costume gets zero pitchforks out of five.
Maybe next week will be better.
