Always be careful who you hitch a ride from. Especially a Succubi…

She shoved the gearshift into first and hammered the gas as she sang, “We’re here for a good time, not a long time, so have a good time, the sun can’t shine everyday…”
Steering off the gravel, she continued, “Next town is 50 miles ahead, so relax Devon, you have at least an hour here before you can move on in your world…”
Shifting gears she asked, “And moving on means not by falling dead, it means by figuring out who and what you are before someone else figures that out for you.”
The engine whined as she pushed the car towards the speed limit, then over it slightly before winking at him. “I can’t drive 55…”
She double clutched it and then, as the engine noise dropped some she said, “Where you been? Where you going?”
So long as you have the skill to drive the vehicle I could careless about how fast you go. I have been to Hell so I am fairly sure my next destination is Heaven. I get there when I get there. I am fairly sure that I am just going thru the motions, Ma’am. It is PTSD related, I just could not take the Dr.’s and their condescending attitude. I had to get out. So here I am walking down the road in the dark.
*turns and begins to take in the obviously skilled driver*
What is your name, I did not catch it when I climbed in.
She leaned back in her seat a bit, “Didn’t say it. Mind you, you didn’t say yours either so that makes us square doesn’t it?”
Setting that aside she continued, “Well most Docs are quacks in their own ways. And how can you understand someone if you haven’t walked a mile in their shoes.”
She looked at him out of the corner of her eye as she flicked the switch to put her high-beams on making the road ahead a long black ribbon with the center white dotted medium flashing past them as they continued through the night, “Enough driving experience to know my limits and stay well under them… Have to keep something in your back pocket in case all hell breaks loose ya know…”
Putting her hands back on the wheel she added, “As for going through the motions. Don’t quite believe that, I think that you are just looking for the next moment you are needed for something right, not something out of left field…”
Left field, or mebby right out of sight?
