A rather unique Succubus Artprint…

I found a rather interesting piece of Succubus art that while somewhat from the past, I think is a unique take on the myth of Succubi…

This artwork is entitled as Succubus and is by an artist calling themselves Stanart on Cafe Press. The work itself was apparently posted to that website back in March of 2006 and that is, I regret, all of the information I have on the artist or this work…

I find it a reflection on what the traditional Succubi are described as being. You have three Succubi sprits twirling and shifting in the darkness, their paths moving towards the moon far above them. While we see no tails or horns on their forms, there is a certain amount of longing and wishfulness in their expressions I think when I look at them…

I also find myself wondering if the three Succubi are Lilith and her sisters in some way. The red in their hair sort of points me in that direction as well, but of course my thoughts are my interpretation of this work…

Since the artist is really quite unknown…

If anyone has an idea of who the artist is, please do comment!

While the art is lovely, it is your interpretation, Majesty, that I find most interesting: that a traditional succubus is empty, filled only with longing, while I have observed that a collective succubi (no doubt reflecting her creator) is generally at peace, whole, sharing so much with those whom she enjoys.
