Succubi left the disco 80s behind I think…

As I recall it, the 80s were known as Disco Hell in a lot of ways…

This costume brings back a lot of bad, baffling memories I can tell you…

This is called Disco Devil for obvious reasons I think you can see and is available from the same website as last week’s trashiness that I still shudder when I think about…

This costume is made of spandex and is cut very very low in the front, but it does have red laces up the front, back and sides. A stylized pitchfork sits at the crotch, and flame accents are on the flared legs of the outfit. This costume comes with the matching red horns and the somewhat uninspiring black tail as well. It does not include the pitchfork in the image however, nor the shoes for that matter either…

If you remember, last week’s costume cost about $800 US and was a combination of several different parts in order to create the look they showed. This time, you get what you see here for $300 US…

I will admit that the horns I kind of like, though they are a little flashy, but what really bothers me is that pitchfork on the costume…

Why do that?

As a sexy devil catsuit, it would be alright, but adding that just makes it go over the edge into trashy and that is disappointing… The other thing is that tail… That’s just wrong in so many ways isn’t it? There should be a spaded tip on it and not the sudden pointed tip that it has… Really another chance missed to make this something special really…

I really did think about buying this for a good long time for this year’s costume, but the problem is that the pitchfork on the costume is stitched into it quite well and removing it would leave it looking really lousy…

So the choice is, as is or leave it… Or…. Thinking about it, add a red latex or spandex skirt there to cover it up…

Have to ponder that some more I think…

As it is, I’ll give it two pitchforks out of five, but it could get four if that pitchfork wasn’t there…

Next week’s will prove to be interesting as well…

I think that, for a skirt to cover that pitchfork, it would need to be geekishly high up on one’s waist, and Your Majesty is not geeky. I seem to remember, in my hazy, addled recollections of ’80s fashions, something about silk scarves worn on heads and large ones as wide belts on occasion. Maybe that would work . . .
