A Definition of Succubus to ponder…

I came across this and I find myself having to ponder what the author is trying to say…

They wrote:

A succubi is a malevolent spirit, that is one of the “fates”, a junior witch can inflict on themselves, if they don’t embrace their carnal side in ritual, (some can use this energy to call one into them to do the work they fearfully wouldn’t as a being) but mostly it is if you don’t embrace the full sexual power in ritual when you charge, you will create one, because it feeds on the stuff you deny yourself….)

OK…

First thought is all of that is rather confusing really… I don’t think a Succubi is malevolent… I think that if such a thing is possible, that is the reflection of the beliefs of the one that is thinking about them…

I wonder what is meant by fates exactly… I don’t see them being “fated” to do something or act in a particular way.. I would see them as more like Djinn in their actions… They offer certain powers and so on to those that summon them, but in return they require a release of sexual spirit or perhaps more accurately, an exchange of it between the summoner and the summoned…

Of  course this is all in conjecture and I would think that for each person, as is true with my view on Succubi, all things are possible…

If you expect bad things, bad things happen… If you expect other things or have an open mind to see what can be…

Then you receive something far different I think…

I know that I promised yesterday that I would be trying to post a story over 3 days this week, but looking back upon what I have written so far I find myself needing to rewrite it…

A bunch.

Probably have a rewrite of that beginning tomorrow at some point but we’ll see…

That definition above has made me pause and consider a somewhat different tale to tell…

I think, first, that the author was truly thinking Succubus . . . second, that the authors thinking even about a succubus is also muddled.

By the weekend, I may have something to say about this in the Realm.
