This is a play running from August 7th, 2008 to the 23rd at the Thunderbird Theatre Company in San Francisco.
The website of the company is: http://www.thunderbirdtheatre.com/
Now… You’d expect that a play with that name would be about a Succubus at some point, but based on the little tease information that they give, the play is really about a vampire and a vampire hunter that catches his eye…
Life is difficult for Elizabeth Beenthere, who is of marrying age. If only she wasn’t such an inappropriately independent Vampire Hunter. Things are just as bad for the fiendishly charming but dreadfully arrogant gentleman vampire, Mr. Darcy. He’d rather feed on young women instead of courting them. But love is in the bloody air when their eyes meet across a crowded dance floor. Should Elizabeth follow her heart or simply drive a stake through Darcy’s? Can Mr. Darcy get over the whole creature of the night business and settle down? Or does Jane Austen herself have something to say about the whole affair?
The company is in its 10th year of production and I wish them well!
Hopefully we’ll see a Succubus in a Succubus titled play someday…
